You know Maya, I would happily buy a little book full of your pictures, no text needed, they are perfect on their own..

I totally second that! Me too! Me too! (Your sketchbooks are *so* much prettier than mine...)

Thanks guys :)
Your words are as always very encouraging (and lift my spirits!!)

I would really enjoy making a book with just images like these ones...but I don't think it would appeal to publishers...would it?

Gosh you've been busy posting - I don't think it would appeal to maost mainstream publishers, becasue they generally have no imagination about what sells, they like to fit certain markets and rarely take risks. But Sarah Midas has produced delightful little books along these lines, admittedly with some text in, and they are very popular. If I had the money, the time, skills and the energy, I'd publish them for you. But - I do think they are worth including in a portfolio, or a special section on your website. Have you tried Phoenix cards?

Oh...Just seen your comment Gretel... :)
I haven't tried Phoenix cards...Thanks for the advice...
I will definetely check them out!
Your comment about a book with these little sketches has made me think of it seriously...that would be a dream job for me...
Thank you for being an inspiration!!
...and I'd love for you to be my publisher... ;)

Try them - they accept jpegs, in fact they prefer it - their terms are great too and they like quirkier work -

Thanks Gretel :)
I'll have a look at their website and see what work I have that may suit them...
The name Phoenix does ring a bell...I think I've seen them somewhere in my website stats...
Will check and see if it's the same company!
