a day in the village

Thats where I spent today, visiting my mum and dad...haven't seen them in a long time due to the move and it felt so good to see them, especially my mum, who is nearly fully recovered from her ordeal with her illness...I haven't seen my brothers in a long time too...they are kind of what you would call "drifters"...dissappear into their own personal adventures and reappear when you least expect them. I wish I was as daring as they are sometimes...
Lunch was just what I needed: a proper meal!! Roast chicken with herbs and olive oil, rice with wild mushrooms, salad and fresh bread! Needless to sayI ate like a pig!!lol!!
We talked a bit about how they are doing, then walked in mum's garden (which is her pride and joy!) and then my dad showed me the new chickens he bought (the largest of the birds are intended ofcourse for easter Sunday lunch!!)...
Everything seems less complicated when I am there....
but then I had to return home, where some roughs were waiting to be done, and ofcourse being the procrastinator I am I decided to have a full day 's vacation and do them tomorrow morning instead...So I will have to get up veeeeery early tomorrow....or stay up veeeery late tomorrow night...serves me right i guess...:)
