working on the eve of the eve

Got back to work today after a little "painters block" yesterday.

One of my best friends is moving house so I decided to make her a card for the occasion. She loves trees so I thought I'd use that as a theme.

I got my watercolours out- it seems like ages since I have used them as I was working a lot with gouache lately- and once the shimmering hues hit the page I was in love again. I don't know what it is about watercolour, I have loved it since the first time I have used it... I only wish the computer scans would bring out the true beauty of this lovely medium.

I don't know if I will have time tomorrow for work as I have some last minute
christmas shopping to do....

Anyway: Happy christmas to all!!!
